ASUS debuts their 360Hz ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG at Gamescom

1440p at 360Hz with ultra-fast response times – Meet the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG

At Gamescom 2024, ASUS has revealed their new ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG monitor, a Quantum Dot (QD) OLED monitor that boasts a 360Hz maximum refresh rate and a QHD (1440p) resolution.

This screen is a 26.5-inch semi-glossy display. It features an anti-reflection coating, making it well suited to most gaming environments. The compact stand of this monitor is designed to minimise desk space usage, and features a dedicated phone stand. Beyond that, this screen supports 90W power delivery over USB Type-C, allowing it to power laptops or quickly charge mobile phones.

like most gaming-oriented OLED monitors, this display boasts 0.03 ms response times, making this screen ideal for fast-paced gaming workloads.

One perk of this monitor over its competitors is its new heatsink design. ASUS claims that this heatsink design offers users 30% better heat dissipation than competing 360Hz OLED designs. This enhanced cooling solution is one of the things that ASUS has done to their OLED screens to prevent burn-in. Like ASUS’ other new OLED screens, this monitor features the company’s OLED Care+ technologies. For their latest screens, OLED Care+ now includes new technologies like Taskbar detection, outer dimming detection, and global dimming detection.

ASUS has confirmed that their new ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG monitor will be available in Q4 2024. Sadly, ASUS were unable to confirm this monitor’s pricing at Gamescom.

At Gamescom, we have also had a look at ASUS’ ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP gaming monitor and their X870/X870E range of AMD AM5 motherboards.
