ASUS reveals their RTX 4080 SUPER Noctua Edition GPU

ASUS and Noctua team up to create a quad-slot RTX 4080 SUPER Noctua Edition graphics card

Noctua and ASUS have renewed their partnership to create another “Noctua Edition” graphics card. Meet the RTX 4080 SUPER Noctua Edition, a colossal quad-slot graphics card that promises to be the “quietest air-cooled graphics card of its class.”

Like prior Noctua Edition GPUs, ASUS’ new RTX 4080 SUPER mode will be cooled by two 120mm Noctua NF-A12x25 fans. The PCB of this graphics card will be the same as ASUS’ RTX 4080 SUPER TUF Gaming design. This new GPU design will also feature a custom heatsink with an “optimised vapour chamber”. This allows this graphics card to effectively move heat throughout this graphics card’s large fin array.

ASUS has confirmed that this new RTX 4080 SUPER model will feature a boost clock of 2640 MHz. This is 90 MHz higher than Nvidia’s reference RTX 4080 SUPER. Like all RTX 40 graphics cards, this graphics card will support Nvidia’s DLSS 3 technology. This includes both support for DLSS Super Resolution, and DLSS Frame Generation.

The price of ASUS’ latest Noctua Edition graphics card is currently unknown. Noctua Edition graphics cards always carry a premium price over standard GPU models, so do not expect this GPU to be available at a price close to MSRP. The UK MSRP for Nvidia’s RTX 4080 SUPER is £959.
