ASUS showcases their RTX 40 SUPER lineup at CES 2024

ASUS reveals their lineup of RTX 40 SUPER series graphics cards at CES

At CES 2024 ASUS has revealed their RTX 40 SUPER series GPU lineup, enhanced RTX 40 series graphics cards that are designed to deliver more performance per dollar to high-end RTX 40 series customers.

With the release of the RTX 40 SUPER series, ASUS has revealed new graphics cards within the ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, ProArt, and Dual ranges. Many of these new GPUs will be available in both black and white. That’s great news for anyone who is creating a white-themed PC.

Looking at the ASUS RTX 40 SUPER Lineup

Leading the pack we have ASUS’ ROG Strix models. The RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4080 SUPER will all be receiving Strix models, though only the RTX 4080 SUPER will be getting a White Edition variant.

ROG Strix leads the pack with top-tier clock speeds and cooling

Our ROG Strix series of graphics cards stands ready with best-in-class performance, bold ROG styling, and top-tier cooling for your high-powered rig. Our 40 SUPER Series cards use the same class-leading build as their non-SUPER brethren, albeit with the addition of a 16-pin 12VHPWR power connector on the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER. Three Axial-tech fans keep the card cool when under load, while our 0dB mode kicks in to turn the fans off entirely when performing simpler tasks.

The metal exoskeleton provides unparalleled rigidity, while our Dual BIOS switch allows you a simple choice between maximum performance and quieter operation. Exclusive to Strix, our FanConnect II headers allow you to control up to two case fans based on your GPU’s temperature, allowing you more fine-grained control over your build. And of course, plenty of Aura Sync-compatible RGB gives you room to customize the look of your card and synchronize its lighting with the rest of your system.

Honestly, I prefer the look of ASUS’ White Edition RTX 4080 SUPER to its standard black counterpart. That said, I do prefer the plainer look of the RTX 40 SUPER TUF Gaming White Edition GPU models. Sometimes simple is best. That said, the TUF Gaming White Edition will only be available in the form of the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER (and its BTF counterpart).

Next up we have the TUF Gaming. All of Nvidia;’s RTX 40 SUPER series GPUs will be available with a TUF Gaming variant. As mentioned before, only the RTX 4070 TI SUPER will get a white variant.

The White version of this GPU will also be available in BTF (Back-To-Front) form, which means that it can receive power from BTF motherboards. This version of the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER TUF Gaming will have no power connectors.

TUF Gaming offers robust performance for gamers of all stripes

For a tried-and-true alternative, our TUF Gaming cards give you high-end bang for your buck. Not only do they offer the same metal build, triple-fan cooling, and large heatsinks of their Strix brethren, but you also get some of its extra features like the Dual BIOS switch that lets you customize your performance with the flick of a switch. While it doesn’t have as much RGB or the FanConnect II headers, and the OC Editions sport slightly lower clock speeds, TUF cards still provide excellent performance and long-lasting durability for high-end gaming builds.

The ProArt series is relatively new to ASUS’ GPU lineup. The series is designed to be compatible with a broad range of PC cases (being thinner than RTX Strix series models), while also offering users a sleek aesthetic and quiet acoustics. This series will be getting RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4080 SUPER models,. These GPUs should be available sometime within the next few months, shortly after Nvidia’s official launch.

ProArt provides top-tier rendering power in sleek designs for creators

High-end graphics don’t just benefit gamers – you’ll also find them in workstations around the globe, driving artificial intelligence, photo and video editing, game development, manufacturing, and a whole lot more. A specialized crowd deserves a specialized line of cards, so we built ProArt for creators and other professionals looking for something with a cleaner style and a more compact profile, allowing them to fit into a PC with multiple expansion cards. We still outfit them with our 11-blade Axial-tech fans, 0dB technology, and vented backplate for excellent cooling, just with a form factor that better fits the needs of today’s creators.

Finally we have the ASUS Dual series. Only the RTX 4070 SUPER will be receiving a DUAL series model. These GPUs will be available in both black and white. Additionally, there will be a slightly thinner Dual EVO model.

ASUS Dual cards supply excellent value in a compact form factor

If you’re looking for something even more compact – perhaps a small form factor build – ASUS Dual cards are a great choice. Featuring a retro-futuristic space-age design, these cards offer a unique look for any build, with a 2.56-slot heatsink for wide case compatibility (2.5-slot on the EVO edition). In addition, with multiple heatpipes and two Axial-tech fans, these cards offer excellent cooling performance in an accessible package for gamers and creators alike, no matter what case you’re using.

Nvidia’s RTX 40 SUPER series will deliver more value to the PC gaming market. All three graphics cards are launching this month. Nvidia’s RTX 4070 Super is launching on January 17th. The RTX 4070 Ti is launching on January 24th. Finally, the RTX 4080 SUPER is launching on January 31st.
