Cooler Master RTX 5080 GPU pictured with customisable fans
Custom Cooler Master RTX 5080 shown with 30 mm-thick PC fans installed
Back at CES 2025, we saw something special. Cooler Master has custom heatsinks for Nvidia’s RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 graphics cards on display, and they looked incredible! Now, this custom GPU has been showcased in more detail, highlighting its customisable fan options.
On Bilibili (via Wccftech), a custom Cooler Master RTX 5080 with various fan types installed was showcased. First, the cooler is shown with Cooler Master’s Mobius fans. Next, the GPU was demoed with a set of 30 mm-thick Phanteks fans. These fans make this GPU over 9 cm thick!
At CES, we only saw this cooler with standard 25 mm fans and thinner 120mm fans. Now, this GPU has confirmed support for thicker PC fans, which is great news for PC builders.
Use whatever fans you’d like with this custom Cooler Master RTX 5080
It looks like Cooler Master’s RTX can support practically all 120mm fans. This is excellent news for those who want to customise this GPU. PC builders could test and find out which fans are best for GPU cooling. If thicker fans can make your GPU run cooler, why not have a 9 cm thick graphics card? Additionally, users can choose fans that match their aesthetic preferences. After all, there are a lot of RGB fans types out there.
Below, Cooler Master’s GPU has also been shown with ROG-branded fans, highlighting how this cooler’s fans can be used to match your GPU with the rest of your system’s components.
If Cooler Master built and released GPUs with these heatsinks, they would have some of the best-looking and well-built graphics cards on the market. That’s what I said when I first saw these heatsinks at CES 2025. While it makes me sad knowing these GPUs will be exclusive to Cooler Masterâs full system builds, Iâm also excited to see where Cooler Masterâs GPU ambitions lead.
