The HTC Vive will cost £689 in the UK and will include motion controllers, tracking equipment and 2 games, making the HTC Vive a much more expensive VR Headset than the Oculus Rift but also much more feature rich.Â
Right now if you purchase an Oculus Rift the UK pricing is £499, but this does not include postage costs and if you pre-Order the Rift now you will have to wait until at least June before it ships, whereas the HTC Vive is expected to ship in April.Â

The HTC Vive will include the following in the box, please note the the Oculus Rift will not come with Motion controls.

The recommended PC specifications of the HTC Vive have been announced, requiring a PC which is weaker than what is required for the Oculus Rift.Â
The HTC Vive will require GTX 970//R9 290 or higher, 4GB+ or RAM and an Intel i5 4590/ FX 8350 or higher, whereas the Oculus Rift recommends no AMD CPUs at this time and requires at least 8GB of system memory and USB 3.0 posts.Â

It is clear when looking at what is included that the HTC Vive is the more advanced unit, offering full motion controls and advanced tracking functions at launch, whereas the Oculus Rift is designed for a static, sitting down experience.Â
