Intel ARC B570 and B580 Battlemage GPU Specifications Leak

Specifications for Intel’s upcoming Battlemage B-series GPUs leak

Thanks to listings from 1fortrade.com, specifications for several upcoming Intel GPUs from ASRock have been listed online. These listings include GPUs like Intel’s ARC B570 and ARC B580 GPUs, which Intel may reveal later this week.

Rumour has it that Intel may launch its ARC B580 GPU for $250, aiming to shake up the lower end of the GPU market. Intel will do this by offering gamers more VRAM than the competition and backing that up with strong GPU performance. Rumour has it that the ARC B580 will be competitive with an RTX 4060 Ti, a GPU that often costs over $300.

Based on leaked information for ASRock’s ARC B580 Steel Legend model, the GPU will feature 20 Xe2 cores and 12GB of GDDR6 memory over a 192-bit memory bus. This model features a GPU clock speed of 2800 MHz, though it is worth noting that this model is an “OC” (overclocked) model. Intel’s standard/reference GPU models should feature lower GPU clock speeds.

ARC B580 and B570 GPU specifications

ASRock’s B570 Challenger model features lower specifications than the B580 Steel Legend. It has less VRAM bandwidth and capacity, having 10GB of VRAM over a 160-bit memory bus. This gives the GPU 20% less VRAM capacity and bandwidth.

The ARC B570 features 18 Xe2 cores, 10% less than the ARC B580. The GPU also has a clock speed that is 200 MHz lower. However, it is also worth noting that this GPU is also an “OC” (overclocked) model.

Note that both GPUs use a PCIe 4.0 x8 interface and feature three DisplayPort 2.1 connections and an HDMI 2.1 output. Furthermore, both GPUs feature two “Advanced Media Engines.” These two media engines are “fully featured media transcoders” designed to speed up processing times. They support the most popular media formats, including AV1. Based on this information, Intel will be marketing these GPUs towards budget video editing PCs.

The ARC B570 features lower specifications and will target a lower price than the B580. Regardless, it will have more VRAM than current-generation AMD and Nvidia GPUs in this price range. This gives Intel a competitive edge. However, it remains to be seen how these GPUs will perform in games.
