Intel's flagship GPU, the ARC A770, is now available for £220 in the UK

Intel’s ARC A770 GPU has hit a new pricing low following the launch of Intel’s huge DX11 driver update

Following the release of Intel’s latest DirectX 11 optimising driver, ASRock’s ARC A770 Phantom Gaming D graphics card has become available at an historically low price of £219.99 on Ebuyer. This price tag is lower than most Intel ARC A750 graphics cards at other retailers, cementing this new ARC A770 as the best value Intel graphics card on the market.

When compared to Intel’s ARC A750, the ARC A770 has more Xe Cores (32 vs 28), and higher GPU clock speeds (2100 MHz vs 2050 MHz). With this ASRock Phantom Gaming model, this graphics card’s GPU clock speeds have been boosted further to 2200 MHz, delivering a further performance boost when compared to Intel’s ARC A750, which costs more than £220 at most UK retailers.

Since launch, Intel’s GPU driver teams have worked to deliver huge performance increases for their ARC series graphics cards across a variety of PC games. For DirectX 9 titles, 43% performance gains have been achieved, and for DirectX 11 games 19% performance gains have been delivered. Additionally, Intel has also improved their XeSS AI upscaling technology to deliver higher quality upscaling and increased performance to users.

For £220, ASRock’s ARC A770 Phantom Gaming is a bargain, and while its 8GB of VRAM is somewhat limiting, it is worth remembering that all AMD and Nvidia GPUs at this pricepoint are also limited to 8GB of VRAM.

Even following the release of Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs from AMD and RTX 40 series GPUs from Nvidia, Intel has been able to deliver strong value with their ARC GPU lineup. That said, despite huge strides in recent months, Intel’s ARC GPU drivers have a lot of room for further optimisation.
