MSI launches white 240Hz MPG 321URXW 4K QD-OLED monitor
MSI’s best 4K OLED monitor is now available in white – It looks fantastic!
MSI has officially launched its new MPG 321URXW, a white version of its popular MPG 321URX, a 32-inch Quantum Dot OLED monitor. The monitor features a 4K resolution and a refresh rate of 240Hz and boasts DisplayHDR True Black 400 and Clear MR 13000 certifications.
We reviewed the MPG 321URX earlier this year, and we loved it. Its image quality was glorious, as one should expect from a modern OLED display. On top of this, this screen features Adaptive-Sync support, 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space, and a Delta E value of less than 2. This makes this monitor great for gaming, movie viewing, and productivity work where colour accuracy is essential.
Overall, this screen’s 4K resolution and 32-inch screen size are an excellent blend of resolutions and screen size. Connectivity-wise, this screen features DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.1a inputs, with DisplayPort supporting up to 4K 240Hz. HDMI 2.1a inputs can deliver up to 4K 120Hz support with full 48 Gbps bandwidth, VRR support and ALLM (Automatic Low Latency Mode) support.
With this new screen, MSI aims to mitigate potential burn-in risks with their latest OLED technologies. This includes their graphene-film and custom fanless heatsink for their new monitor. This screen also uses MSI’s exclusive “OLED Care 2.0” technology. This technology enables “taskbar detection” and adjusts the brightness of the boundaries between two images. These features allow MSI’s next-generation QD-OLED monitors to minimise the risk of image detection and dim your taskbar to prevent burn-in. With “Multi-Logo” detection, this screen can also dim logos and static elements that it detects to reduce burn-in risks.
These “OLED Care” features, when combined with MSI’s heatsink solution, all work together to prevent burn-in.
The MSI MPG 321URX/321URXW features sharper text
One key feature of the next-generation QD OLED panel that MSI is using is its improved text clarity. Thanks to improvements in sub-pixel arrangement, text is more defined, and images are sharper than before. These changes make Quantum Dot OLED screens more suitable for use in monitors. Text clarity is an incredibly important characteristic for any PC-oriented monitor. This makes MSI’s use of newer QD-OLED panels an excellent upgrade.
Overall, the MSI MPG 321URXW takes a great monitor and gives it a visual makeover. Both have the same QD OLED screen and feature set, but this new model is available in white. That’s great for users who want a white monitor to match their white gaming system. That said, one has to wonder how long it will be before MSI and other monitor manufacturers release “next-gen” OLED monitors. After all, CES 2025 is just around the corner.
