Nvidia addresses more crashes and bugs with its GeForce Hotfix 576.66 driver

Nvidia issues GeForce Hotfix 576.66 to address game crashes and other bugs

Nvidia has just launched a new GeForce hotfix to address crashing issues that are present in many recent releases. This includes EA Sports FC 25, Dune: Awakening, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. It also addresses shadow flickering issues in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and video playback issues on RTX 50 series GPUs.

This new driver is available for Windows 11 and Windows 10-based PCs and is based on the company’s GeForce 576.52 driver. Since this is a hotfix, GeForce users will need to download this driver manually, as it will not be updated through the Nvidia App. Nvidia only recommends this driver to those impacted by the issues it addresses.

GeForce Hotfix Display Driver version 576.66 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 576.52 (Nvidia’s RTX 5060 launch driver).

 This Hotfix addresses the following:
  • Dune: Awakening may crash during gameplay [5273568]
  • EA Sports FC 25 may crash during gameplay [5251937]
  • [RTX 50 series] Dragons Dogma 2 displays shadow flicker [5252205]
  • [RTX 50 series] Video playback in a web browser may show brief red/green flash corruption [5241341]
