Nvidia are “looking into” Nvidia App performance issues
Nvidia confirms that they are “looking into” Nvidia App performance issues
Nvidia has confirmed they are investigating performance issues with their recently released Nvidia App. Users of the app have found that this issue can cause up to a 15% drop in game performance, significantly harming the gaming experience of GeForce users.
Nvidia has confirmed that they are “actively looking into” the issue and that it relates to “Game Filters”. Note that Nvidia users can disable game filters from within the app. This workaround can restore any lost game performance.
Once Nvidia uncovers the cause of this issue, we expect Nvidia to release a hotfix driver update to address it quickly. This will return the performance of Nvidia GPUs to normal levels. It should also allow Game Filters to be used without performance concerns.

For now, we recommend that Nvidia users disable filters within the Nvidia App or uninstall the app. This will allow you to access the full performance of your graphics card. Once Nvidia releases an updated driver, GeForce GPU users will be able to start using the application as normal and without any performance concerns.
