Nvidia delays the launch of its RTX 5070 Founders Edition
Nvidia’s RTX 5070 Founders Edition will not be available on March 5th
HardwareLuxx’s Andreas Schilling has confirmed that Nvidia has delayed the release of its RTX 5070 Founders Edition graphics card. Instead of launching tomorrow on March 5th, the GPU will be available “later in March.” Andreas further clarified that this delay is “worldwide” and not exclusive to Europe.
This kind of delay has never happened before. Nvidia’s Founders Edition RTX-series GPUs have always been available on day 1 alongside GPUs from Nvidia AIB partners. Today we also confirmed that several UK retailers have no RTX 5070 GPUs in stock.
The RTX 5070 Founders Edition will be available later in March.

With poor day-1 stock in many regions and a delayed Founders Edition release, Nvidia’s 5070 launch is set to be a disappointing one for many PC gamers. Low supply will prevent gamers from accessing this new GPU, pushing them towards AMD’s incoming Radeon RX 9070 series.
AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 series is due to be released on March 6th, and we have been told that UK retailers have “ample” stock for day 1 orders. The difference in GPU supply for AMD’s RX 9070 series launch and Nvidia’s RTX 5070 series launch is insane.
Don’t forget to check in tomorrow to see our RX 9070 series reviews at 2pm. You won’t want to miss them.
