Nvidia releases GeForce 595.71 driver following disastrous 595.59 launch
Nvidia releases GeForce 595.71 driver following hardware monitoring and fan “not spinning” issues
The launch of their GeForce 595.59 driver was a disaster for Nvidia. Hardware monitoring broke for many users, with fan detection failing, and one or more of their GPU fans stopped spinning after the driver update. Mere hours after launch, Nvidia was forced to un-release the driver and prevent future downloads. Now, Nvidia has a new driver, GeForce 595.71, that addresses these concerns.
With Nvidia’s GeForce 595.71 driver, PC gamers get all of the intended benefits of 595.59, but none of the downsides. This means optimised performance for Resident Evil Requiem and several fixed game bugs. Full release notes for this driver are below.
