Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 release plans leak
Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti is due to launch on April 16th
According to a report from HKEPC (via Videocardz), Nvidia plans to reveal its RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti on April 15th and launch their RTX 5060 Ti the following day on April 16th. Unlike prior RTX 50-series GPU launches, Nvidia will allow MSRP and non-MSRP RTX GPU reviews to go live on the same day. This means that reviews will go live on April 16th.
This report claims that Nvidia’s RTX 5060 (non-Ti) will become available in May. Furthermore, this report claims that Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti will have 8GB and 16GB variants.
If this report is legitimate, Nvidia will reveal and release its RTX 5060 Ti in the same week. This will create a chaotic situation for the technology/gaming press, as everything is happening within a tight timeframe. Additionally, having reviews and retail availability start on the same day is not a consumer-friendly act. This schedule will not allow early RTX 5060 Ti purchasers to read any reviews before purchasing their graphics cards.
Nvidia has reportedly delayed its RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti launches to accumulate more day 1 retail stock. Currently, it is unknown if Nvidia will have enough GPU supply to meet demand.
