Nvidia delays its RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 graphics cards

Nvidia’s RTX 5060 is now due to be released in mid-May

According to a new report on Board Channels, Nvidia has informed its board partners about new release times for its RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti series products.

Earlier this year, these GPUs were reportedly due to be revealed at GTC or GDC 2025, which would have been this week. Now, Nvidia has allegedly delayed the release of its RTX 5060 Ti to mid-April. Additionally, Nvidia has reportedly pushed its RTX 5060 back to mid-May.

Nvidia has notified all AIC partners via an internal email about the release time of their new RTX 5060 Ti/5060 series products. All brands were notified that both GPUs would be released later than expected.

Nvidia revealed that its 8/16GB RTX 5060 Ti GPU would be delayed until mid-April, and its RTX 5060 series GPUs would be delayed until Mid-May. Nvidia will reveal specific timings at a later date.

Nvidia’s RTX 5060 series launches cannot be a repeat of Nvidia’s pathetic RTX 5070 series release

Nvidia’s RTX 5070 launch was pathetic. Retailers had almost no day 1 stock, and Nvidia was forced to delay their Founders Edition variant. Gamers were rightly angered by this launch. It was clear that Nvidia should have delayed its RTX 5070 launch until ample retail stock was available. Instead, gamers got a product launch where the product availability was almost non-existent.

Nvidia is rapidly losing the goodwill of gamers. Gamers are tired of seeing insufficient stock at retailers and of seeing most graphics cards sell for prices far above their MSRPs. Perhaps Nvidia’s XX60-series product delays will allow Nvidia to build up ample stock ahead of launch. However, it is also likely that Nvidia is rethinking its pricing in the wake of AMD’s RX 9000 series launch.
