Nvidia to reveal RTX 50 series Blackwell GPUs “soon” – Leaker claims

Will Nvidia start teasing their RTX 50 series this month?

Nvidia will host CES 2025’s premiere keynote, making it the likely reveal event for their RTX 50 series of “Blackwell” GPUs. That would place Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 50 series GPU launch firmly in 2025. However, rumour has it that Nvidia will give gamers a glimpse of their GeForce RTX 50 series “soon”. That information comes from the often reliable leaker @kopite7kimi.

While we don’t believe Nvidia plans to launch its RTX 50 series in 2024, it will likely start teasing something new soon. If nothing else, these teasers will ensure that everyone keeps talking about Nvidia. Even if they reveal limited information about their next-generation GeForce GPUs, people will talk about it.

Nvidia is expected to launch its RTX 50 series of GPUs in January, starting with their RTX 5090 and RTX 5080. Other (lower-end) GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs will launch over the following months. In time, Nvidia’s RTX 40 series will be completely replaced with new RTX 50 series models.

AMD has confirmed that RDNA 4 GPUs will launch in “early 2025.” Perhaps Nvidia feels the need to make its own GPU launch confirmations. That said, Nvidia has every reason to feel confident right now and has little reason to respond to AMD’s teasers with their own.
