Nvidia unveils DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction for RTX GPUs
Nvidia unveils DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction at Computex 2026
This August, Nvidia is giving all GeForce RTX users an update. DLSS Ray Reconstruction (RR) is getting the DLSS 4.5 treatment. What does that mean? DLSS RR is getting a new model with an expanded training dataset, more developer controls, and more parameters. In other words, DLSS RR is improving, which means better image quality.
DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction is coming to all GeForce RTX GPUs. It will be supported on RTX 20, 30, 40, and 50 series GPUs. The new model will launch in August. The new denoiser is reportedly more efficient, with 35% more compute capability and processes 20% more parameters. Furthermore, the model builds on DLSS Super Resolution enhancements to deliver improved motion data and improved temporal stability.
Key improvements include clearer particle effects, reduced ghosting, fewer artefacts, and more detailed images.
Strong day-1 game support
At the time of writing, Nvidia has confirmed that DLSS Ray Reconstruction 4.5 will be available in 27 games at launch. These games will likely support this feature through DLSS Overrides on the Nvidia App.
| Alan Wake 2 | Enlisted | NTE (Neverness to Everness) |
| Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora | EVERSPACE 2 | Portal with RTX |
| Backrooms: Escape Together | F1 25 | PRAGMATA |
| Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 | FBC: Firebreak | Resident Evil Requiem |
| Crimson Desert | Half-Life 2 RTX | Samson |
| Cyberpunk 2077 | Hogwarts Legacy | Star Wars Outlaws |
| Death Relives | Incursion Red River | Subliminal |
| Directive 8020 | Indiana Jones and the Great Circle | Sword of Justice |
| DOOM: The Dark Ages | NARAKA: BLADEPOINT | The First Descendant |
Ray Reconstruction is coming to Blender
Alongside game support, Nvidia has also confirmed that Ray Reconstruction is coming to Blender Cycles as a denoising option. Blender will integrate the new DLSS 4.5 version of the denoiser, building on the success of Nvidia’s OptiX integration. This will allow developers to work/interact with scenes with near-final levels of image quality. That’s great news for Blender users.
