Nvidia’s RTX 40 SUPER release schedule has leaked – Three GPU launches next month?

Nvidia’s trio of RTX 40 SUPER GPUs are reportedly launching in January

Rumour has it that Nvidia plans to release their rumoured RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4080 SUPER in January 2024. Nvidia has confirmed that they will be hosting a “Special Address” at CES 2024. This event will likely be the reveal event for this trio of new RTX 40 SUPER series graphics cards.

According to a report from ITHOME, Nvidia plans to launch all three of their SUPER series GPUs in January. These launches will be staggered over two weeks, with the RTX 4070 SUPER arriving first on January 17th.

Nvidia are reportedly planning to have their RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4080 SUPER on store shelves on January 24th and January 31st respectively. This will make January a difficult time for reviewers, as following CES they will have three GPU reviews to complete.

Currently, the specifications of Nvidia’s RTX 40 SUPER series GPUs are unknown. All we know is that all three GPUs will feature higher specifications than their non-SUPER counterparts.

Nvidia’s new SUPER series RTX 4070 will reportedly exist alongside its non-SUPER counterpart. In contrast, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4080 SUPER ware set to effectively replace their existing non-SUPER counterparts. There are also reports that all new SUPER series graphics cards will feature 12VHPWR connectors. This is unconfirmed, but Nvidia are keen to move the whole industry over to the 12VHPWR standard.
