Reddit user purchases and unboxes AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 XT ahead of launch

Retailer sells and shipped an AMD RX 9070 XT GPU ahead of launch – RDNA 4 is in the wild!

A Reddit user called COD3C_ has managed to get their hands on an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card. Specifically, they managed to get a Gigabyte Radeon  RX 9070 XT Gaming OC graphics card. How? COD3C_ pre-ordered the GPU, and the seller shipped it early…

Images of this new Radeon graphics card have been posted on Reddit and imgur. Additionally, unboxing videos of this GPU have been posted on YouTube and Twitter/X. Sadly, the YouTube unboxing video was taken down.

As you can see, the Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC features three 8-pin PCIe power connectors. The GPU’s box also clearly states that this graphics card has 16GB of VRAM. Unfortunately, this unboxing video below does not give us a clear view of the GPU’s display options. However, we can confirm that this GPU has two HDMI outputs and two DisplayPort connectors.

How much did this Reddit user pay for this Radeon RX 9070 XT? They claim to have paid €1100. This price is unlikely to be AMD’s official MSRP for their Radeon RX 9070 XT. If AMD priced their RX 9070 XT that high, I wouldn’t expect it to sell very well. Note that this GPU isn’t Gigabyte’s highest-end Radeon RX 9070 XT. After all, Gigabyte has an RX 9070 XT Aorus Elite GPU in the works.

You can join the discussion on AMD’s RX 9070 XT being purchased and unboxed ahead of launch on the OC3D Forums.
