Gigabyte reveals their custom Radeon RX 9070 XT GPUs at CES 2025
Gigabyte has revealed their RX 9070 XT AORUS ELITE and RX 9070 XT Gaming OC
Following AMD’s RDNA 4 preview at CES 2025, Gigabyte showcased two of their custom Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU models on the show floor. These GPUs are the Radeon RX 9070 XT AORUS ELITE and their Radeon RX 9070 Gaming OC.
We have not been able to visit Gigabyte’s booth (yet), but Paul’s hardware has managed to get an early glimpse at both GPUs and has posted images of them on Twitter/X.

Sadly, AMD is keeping the specifications of these GPUs under wraps, but we have some architectural details.
With RDNA 4, AMD is bringing to the table optimised compute units, new AI accelerators, new ray tracing accelerators, and a new AMD Radiance Display Engine. This is where AMD will deliver more performance this generation. Sadly, AMD revealed no performance information during their CES keynote, though they did reveal FSR 4, their next-gen AI upscaling technology.
Gigabyte RX 9070 XT AORUS ELITE
The first of Gigabyte’s new Radeon GPUs is their RX 9070 XT AORUS ELITE model, which has a three-fan cooling solution and a dual BIOS. Users can use a BIOS switch to select a “Performance” or “Silent” mode for this GPU. Gigabyte has also stated that this GPU uses new “Hawk” fans and “server-grade thermal conductive gel.”
Sadly, full specifications for this GPU cannot be revealed until AMD reveals more about their new RDNA 4 GPUs. This means that we cannot discuss clock speeds, TDPs, or other specifications.
Next up, we have the Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC, which also features a triple-fan cooling design, “Hawk” fans, and “server-grade thermal conductive gel.” This GPU is smaller than Gigabyte’s Aorus Elite variant, and it also features a dual BIOS with Performance and Silent modes.
Up to three 8-pin PCIe power connectors
Looking at the back of these GPUs, we can see that the Gaming OC model uses two 8-pin PCIe cables for power. For the Aorus Elite model, three 8-pin PCIe connectors are used.
The Aorus Elite’s three power connectors can deliver 450 watts, suggesting that this GPU has a TDP of over 300 watts. Why else would this GPU use three connectors instead of two?
AMD plans to release their RDNA 4 Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 GPUs in Q1 2025. This means that we can expect to hear more about these graphics cards soon.
