Samsung reportedly working on a 49-inch 120Hz 5120×1440 monitor
Last year Samsung released their 49-inch CHG90 dual-FHD 3840×1080 QLED (Quantum Dot) display, offering end users HDR support, a 144Hz maximum refresh rate, FreeSync 2 functionality and a 32:9 aspect ratio. This display was a multi-monitor setup in itself, with no pesky bezels that could get in the way of the action.Â
TFT Central has reported that Samsung has plans to invest further into ultra-wide display standards, with plans to release a 49-inch Dual-QHD equivalent of their CHG90 with a 5120×1440 resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz with a 1800R curvature. This display is said to use a VA panel and is set for production in September 2018, offering users a dual 1440p experience on a single monitor. Â

Alongside their 5120×1440 monster, Samsung is also said to be working on a 34-inch 144Hz 3440×1440 monitor, with production plans for Q3 2018, a display which seems like the ideal merger of high refresh rates, ultra-wide gaming and crisp screen resolutions.Â
