Thermal Grizzly launch 90-degree WireView GPU Pro monitoring tool

Thermal Grizzly has launched a new 90-degree version of its WireView PRO GPU monitoring tool

Thermal Grizzly has today launched a new 90-degree version of its WireView Pro GPU monitoring tool and display. This new version features the same functionality as its original counterpart but changes its cable routing. Unlike the original version, which acted as a 180-degree adapter, this new version acts as a right-angle adapter.

This display/adapter connects to the 12VHPWR or 12V-2X6 power connectors of modern GPUs and can display your graphics card’s power and current draw in real-time. Users can also use this tool to measure their GPU’s power draw over time.

This GPU monitoring tool was made as part of a collaboration between Elmor Labs and Thermal Grizzly. For both companies, safety is a priority. That’s why the WireView Pro can be used with up to two thermal sensors and even has an acoustic alarm that sounds when excessive overcurrent or overheating is detected.

The new WireView is undoubtedly a useful product for PC enthusiasts and overclockers, especially those who are concerned with the safety issues associated with the 12VHPWR standard.

The device features an OLED screen, which can be used to showcase your power connector’s current, voltage, and power draw. Users can also set this up to showcase your GPU’s average power draw over the past 60 seconds, and total power consumption over that time. Temperatures for individual temperature sensors can also be shown.

Thermal Grizzly’s WireView Pro is available in “Normal” and “Reverse” forms to suit all GPUs.

Key Features of the 90-degree WireView GPU PRO:

  • OLED display
  • Real-time power measurement
  • Power consumption logging
  • New: Temperature sensors at the power connectors
  • New: External temperature sensors
  • New: Sensor pin detection
  • New: Alarm function
  • Downward cable routing toward the case floor

The OLED display of the 90° WireView Pro GPU can show the following information:

  • New: Connector temperature in degrees Celsius [°C]
  • New: Temperatures from optional external sensors in degrees Celsius [°C]
  • Current power draw in watts [W], voltage in volts [V], and current in amperes [A]
  • Minimum and maximum power draw in watts [W]
  • Average power draw over the last 60 seconds through the 12VHPWR cable [RAVG in W] and total energy consumption [E in Wh]

GPU compatibility information is available here.

Thermal Grizzly’s new 90-degree WireView GPU Pro is available for €73.40 from the Thermal Grizzly website. This is a solid price for an enthusiast-class product like this. That said, it certainly isn’t for everyone. After all, most people don’t need an analytics tool like this.
