Nvidia’s ready for another GeForce On Community Update
Later today, Nvidia will be hosting its latest GeForce On Community Update. This update comes ahead of Gamescom 2026, one of the world’s premier gaming events. Sadly, Nvidia has no plans to unveil new gaming hardware at this event. Instead, Nvidia will be focusing on “RTX games” and “platform features”.
With this community update, we expect Nvidia to launch DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction. Nvidia may also issue updates on other previously announced technologies like DLSS 5 and Nvidia Reflex 2. That said, it’s equally likely that Nvidia will unveil new platform features at this event.
Gaming-wise, we expect to see a variety of new RTX-enabled games. That means games with ray tracing and DLSS technologies integrated. We will likely see Control Resonant, Gears of War: E-Day, and Star Wars: Galactic Racer showcased alongside other games.

If Nvidia showcases any hardware at this event, it will be its upcoming RTX Spark laptops. Nvidia may be keen to showcase the gaming prowess of its ARM-based Windows laptops. That said, these machines will likely target productivity users and AI users rather than gamers, at least initially. With that in mind, focusing on it at Gamescom could be counterproductive.
If nothing else, gamers can expect to see new games running on Nvidia’s RTX technologies. That means DLSS and ray tracing. We may see new RTX/DLSS features, and updates on already announced technologies. Just don’t expect to see new GPUs; that’s simply not happening.
