XFX launches custom RX 7900 XTX “Phoenix Nirvana” GPU in China

XFX launches a new China-only Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card

ASUS aren’t the only company that are releasing new Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics cards. XFX has revealed a new RX 7900 XTX GPU in China, a triple-fan model called the “Phoenix Nirvana”, which features a new heatsink design.

This new graphics card from XFX appears to be releasing exclusively in China. Currently, there is no sign of a US or European release for this graphics card. Stranger still is the fact that we are seeing new RX 7900 XTX GPUs at all. After all, we are pretty late into RDNA 3’s life cycle.

XFX’s RX 7900 XTX “Phoenix Nirvana ” GPU measures in at 346 x 130 x 68 mm. The GPU uses a new fan design from XFX, which reportedly runs at speeds of up to 3200 RPM. The GPU also features a large cold plate with a vapour chamber over the GPU’s core and memory. The GPU also features a PTM 7950 Phase-Change thermal pad.

Another interesting feature of this GPU is its removable fans, which appear to be attached to the graphics card magnetically. This makes fan removal and replacement an easy process. Great news for anyone that wants to clean their GPU every once in a while.

XFX’s Radeon RX 7900 XTX Phoenix Nirvana GPU is available in China for 7899 RMB, though a 200 RMB discount is available for early pre-orders. XFX has not revealed any plans for a western release for this specific GPU model.
