For those who need more VRAM – ASUS launches three 16GB RTX 4060 Ti GPU models

When Nvidia launched their RTX 4060 Ti, one of the largest criticisms that the graphics card faced was that its 8GB frame buffer was too small to play some PC games at maxed out settings. These complaints prompted Nvidia to allow their partners to create custom 16GB RTX 4060 Ti graphics cards, with ASUS creating three 16GB models for customers.

First up, we have ASUS’ ROG Strix RTX 4060 Ti 16GB, a graphics card that is broadly similar to its 8GB counterpart, with its 3.1-slot Cyberpunk-styled heatsink and triple-fan cooling solution and 311.4mm length. Frankly, this heatsink design is overkill for a graphics card with a low TDP like an RTX 4060 Ti, but that means that this GPU will likely be quiet fan profiles.

This RTX 4060 Ti model is powered using a standard 8-pin PCIe power connector and not a 12VHPWR connector. This means that users of older power supplies will be able to power this graphics card with ease, and without any adaptors.

Next up we have the RTX 4060 Ti ProArt 16GB, an RTX 4060 Ti graphics card that will only be available in its 16GB form. This graphics card lacks RGB lighting and features an elegant design with clean lines and subdued tone. This graphics card is designed for creatives, those who need the extra VRAM of Nvidia’s RTX 4060 Ti 16GB to power their demanding workloads.

This graphics card is slimmer and shorter than the ROG Strix RTX 4060 Ti, with a length of 300mm, and a 2.5-slot thickness. This makes the RTX 4060 Ti ProArt 16GB compatible with a broader range of PC cases than its ROG Strix counterpart, and it has a physical dual-BIOS switch that will allow users to prioritise quiet operation or maximum performance.

Last we have the RTX 4060 Ti Dual, a compact dual-fan graphics card that is designed to fit neatly into almost any modern PC. Like its ROG counterpart it is powered using an 8-pin power connector, and it features ASUS latest 11-blade Axial-tech fans.
