EK and PowerColor unleash the power of RDNA 3 with their Liquid Devil RX 7900 XTX

The PowerColor X EK Radeon RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil graphics card is now available to purchase

PowerColor and EK have unleashed the power of AMD’s RX 7900 XTX, offering gamers the pinnacle of performance from team Radeon with their “Unleashed” BIOS mode and a pre-installed EK water block.

With an asking price of €1699 (Including VAT), the EK X PowerColor RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil is a premium graphics card, offering users 24GB of GDDR6 memory, DisplayPort 2.1 compatability, and out of the box boost clocks as high as 2680 MHz. This liquid cooled graphics card is a beast, and represents the best of what’s currently possible with AMD’s RDNA 3 graphics architecture.

Like PowerColor’s RX 7900 XTX Red Devil graphics card, their RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil features a custom PCB with a 12+3+2 phase VRM design for GPU power and an additional 2+2 phase VRM for VRAM power. The graphics card also features three 8-pin PCIe power inputs for power delivery, and the GPU’s pre-installed EK water block is designed to keep all areas of the GPU cool under load.

The PowerColor RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil featured RGB illumination and two BIOS modes, “OC”, and “Unleashed”. A stock Radeon RX 7900 XTX features a Game Clock of 2300 MHz and a Boost Clock of 2500 MHz, and PowerColor’s Liquid Devil features a 2455 MHz Game Clock and a 2615 MHz Boost clock in OC mode. Clock speeds are even higher with this GPU’s “Unleased” mode.

EK-Loop Leak Tester Flex

With their RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil graphics card, EK and PowerColor will be including an EK-Loop leak tester within their package, allowing users of this graphics card to leak test their setups quickly and ensure that their systems are ready for coolant without any risk of coolant getting over your components.

Below is what EK has to say about their EK-Loop leak tester.

It provides a fast and safe way to test for possible leaks in your liquid cooling loop. While traditional leak testing works, it requires hours before very small leaks can be detected, and then things can become messy. EK-Loop Leak Tester Flex does the job within minutes without risking any actual leakage.

In “Unleashed” mode, PowerColor’s RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil features a Game Clock of 2510 MHz and a boost clock speed of 2680 MHz. This game clock is 210 MHz higher than a reference Radeon RX 7900 XTX, and its boost clock speed is 180 MHz higher. Though overclocking, RX 7900 XTX Liquid Devil users could likely achieve higher levels of GPU performance, assuming that they have connected their GPU up to a liquid cooling loop that has plenty of thermal headroom.

Like most RX 7900 XTX graphics cards, PowerColor’s Liquid Devil features a single HDMI 2.1 output and three DisplayPort 2.1 outputs. Thanks to this GPU’s custom EK water block, PowerColor’s RX 7900 XTX is a single-slot GPU design, allowing this GPU to fit neatly inside most PCs. This should come as great news for anyone who plans to utilise a lot of PCIe add-on cards inside their systems.
