Asetek SimSports announces partnership with Xbox

Asetek SimSports has announced that it has partnered with Xbox to bring its sim-racing hardware to consoles. Next year, new “Designed for Xbox” sim-racing hardware will be released. These products will deliver compatibility with Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

This collaboration will ensure that new Asetek SimSports hardware, alongside “select existing products,” is made console compatible. This will expand the reach of Asetek’s SimSports brand outside of the PC space.

Today is an extremely proud day and a landmark one for Asetek SimSports as we announce a new partnership with Designed for Xbox. When I launched Asetek SimSports a little more than two years ago, it was my mission to provide the most authentic racing experience possible to as many people as possible. Making our products console compatible through the Designed for Xbox collaboration is a huge step towards realising that ambition. As a racer myself, all of my passion and experience goes into every one of our products, and I am delighted that Xbox users around the world will now be able to enjoy their outstanding performance,

– Andre Eriksen, Chief Executive Officer at Asetek.

PC gamers will likely know Asetek primarily for its liquid cooling products, but recently, the company has focused much of its effort on the Sim Racing market.

Recently, we reported on Asetek’s plans to release new entry-level sim racing products. These products are still due to arrive in early 2025. Asetek has created a range of steering wheels, wheelbases, pedals, and accessories for racing enthusiasts. Soon, the brand will have an even broader range of products, ranging from high-end offerings to more budget-friendly designs.

Asetek isn’t the only brand making waves in the racing sim market. Corsair’s Racing Division recently made its debut at Gamescom 2024. The company has also acquired Fanatec, a premier manufacturer of racing sim products.
