G.Skill reveals 48GB and 96 GB memory kits with up to DDR5-8200 speeds
G.Skill showcases new 48GB 8200 MT/s and 96GB 6800 MT/s DDR5 RAM kits
G.Skill has just revealed new high-speed, high capacity DDR5 memory options for their Trident Z5 range, offering users of DDR5 based Intel systems new 48GB (2x24GB) and 96GB (2x48GB) options that deliver on both the performance and capacity front.Â
With these new DDR5 memory kits, G.Skill are pushing the limits of creator and performance workstation oriented DDR5 by offering DDR5-8200 CL40-52-52 performance with their 2x24GB kit and DDR5-6800 CL34-46-46 performance with their 2x48GB kits.Â
G.Skill has tested these new DDR5 module options with Intel’s i9-13900K processor with an ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 series motherboards, with their DDR5-8200 kit being tested on a Maximus Z790 Apex motherboard while the DDR5-6800 kit was tested on a Maximus Z790 Hero motherboard.
With their DDR5-8200 2x24GB kits, G.Skill aims to offer enthusiasts ultra-high memory speeds and relatively tight CL timings alongside boosted memory DIMM capacities. 48GB of memory is more than enough for most use cases, and DDR5-8200 is incredibly fast for both gaming and creator workloads. Â
With their new 96GB memory kits, G.Skill are targeting users that require huge amounts of DDR5 memory and require faster than normal DDR5 memory speeds. With their DDR5-6800 48GB modules, G.Skill are offering a strong balance between memory capacity and memory performance, with tight CL timings and high module frequencies.Â
Below are the speed and timing options for G.Skill’s new high performance 24GB and 48GB DRAM module kits. These DDR5 kits should be available soon through G.Skill partnered retailers.Â
