Lexar reveals ultra-low latency DDR5 modules that are “ideal for 9800X3D”
Lexar creates DDR5 memory kits that are ideal for gamers on AMD’s AM5 motherboard platform
Lexar has created new DDR5 memory kits catered to gamers on AMD’s AM5 motherboard platform. These new ARES series kits deliver DDR5-6000 speeds with ultra-low latency CL26 timings, providing optimal performance for users of today’s Ryzen CPUs.
These new memory modules are said to be “ideal for 9800X3D.” The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is AMD’s fastest gaming CPU, a processor that sells like hotcakes and is out of stock across the globe. AMD has taken steps to improve the availability of this CPU and expects the situation to improve steadily this quarter.
Due to its tight CL timings, Lexar claims its new low-latency memory kits can significantly improve a user’s gaming performance. 1% low frametimes are mentioned explicitly in Lexar’s marketing materials. Videocardz states that this memory can deliver an “overall 10% improvement” compared to CL30 DDR5 memory.

Lexar claims that this new memory kit of their user’s Hynix A-Die memory can achieve latencies of less than 55ns. The kit operates at DDR5-6000 speeds and arrives with two 16GB modules. Sadly, no 24GB and 32GB module variants appear to be in the works.

Lexar’s new low-latency DDR5 memory kits are now available in China for 899 RMB, translating to £98. These modules are available in black and silver colour schemes and feature RGB lighting.
