AIDA64 gains support for PCIe 7.0 and Intel Battlemage BMG-G31 GPUs

AIDA64’s latest beta updates deliver PCIe 7.0 and Intel BMG-G31 GPU support

The Engineer and Extreme versions of AIDA64 have just received fresh beta updates to deliver support for future waves of PC hardware. With AIDA64 beta update 7.99.7817, the app has gained support for PCIe 7.0 and Intel “Battlemage” BMG-G31.

PCIe 7.0 was standardised by PCI-SIG earlier this month. The new standard delivers a 2x increase in PCIe bandwidth over PCIe 6.0, and a 4x boost over the PCIe 5.0 lanes on today’s high-end PC motherboards. With this added support, AIDA64 is now ready to test future devices. While PCIe 7.0 won’t be available on consumer motherboards anytime soon, its support in AIDA64 will be useful for the tech sector.

Intel Battlemage BMG-G31 is a future Intel graphics card. Recently, this GPU was spotted in Linux’s MESA drivers and a PCI-SIG listing. This GPU is expected to be a larger version Intel’s ARC Battlemage B580. Intel’s BMG-G31 silicon will likely be used to create several consumer-grade and professional graphics cards. The addition of Intel BMG-G31 support to AIDA64 is further confirmation that Intel has new GPUs incoming.
