ASUS comments on security concerns about MyASUS, Armoury Crate, and more
ASUS issues statement on recent software/security issues
It hasn’t been a good year for ASUS in terms of security. This year has already seen ASUS release multiple updates for its Armoury Crate software to address security concerns. This includes a “high-severity” flaw that could allow attackers to escalate their privileges to “take control of the entire system.”
ASUS’ security issues do not begin and end with Armoury Crate. Problems have been uncovered for ASUS’ MyASUS and DriverHub software. Furthermore, some ASUS routers have also been impacted by security vulnerabilities.
To address these concerns, ASUS have released the following statement. All known issues with its software and routers have been resolved. Users just need to update to the latest versions of ASUS’ software to avoid issues. Furthermore, ASUS confirmed that it is a member of FIRST and a partner of the CVA CNA program, which helps the company identify and address security issues.

ASUS recognizes recent reports from security researchers concerning potential software issues with MyASUS, Armoury Crate, DriverHub, and certain ASUS router models. Reports of security issues for ASUS software have been relatively frequent in 2025. The good news is that these security issues have all been addressed through security updates before they became widely known. At least this is the case for actively supported devices (not end-of-life (EOL) devices).
Will 2025 continue to be a year of security issues for ASUS? Let’s hope not. If ASUS continues to issue major security updates at this frequency, trust in the brand will erode.
