Bambu Lab teases its H3C 3D printer
Bambu Lab has started to tease its next-generation large-format 3D printer, the H3C
Bambu Lab has started to tease its new H3C 3D printer. This new printer appears to be a successor to the company’s H2C 3D printer, offering users support for nine tools on one printer. Furthermore, it also says it has “a new tech to swap”.
The H3C is due to be unveiled officially on November 3rd at 9 am EST. For those of us in the UK and Europe, that’s 2 PM GMT and 3 PM CET. Sadly, the pricing and specifications of this new 3D printer are unknown. However, we can make a few educated guesses about the printer’s design.
Based on the company’s teaser image, the H3C will feature a new toolhead/nozzle changing system that’s more spatially efficient. This will let the printer move from the H2C’s 7-nozzle setup to a 9-nozzle setup. The swappable nozzles also appear to be at the front or rear of the H3C, not its side.
If I were a betting man, I would bet the H3C abandons the H2C’s dual-nozzle design in favour of a single 9-way swappable toolhead. This could remove the complexity of the H2D/H2C’s variable build volume, which changes depending on which nozzles you use. If Bambu Lab does that, I think the H2C will have a build volume that’s accessible to all 9 nozzles/tools. If that’s true, the H3C will have a notably larger build volume than the H2C, even if the machine itself is the same size.
Nine tools, built into one printer.

Bambu Lab plans to unveil its H3C on November 3rd. That means that printing enthusiasts will have to wait less than two weeks to hear more about this new 3D printer. We’ll share a more in-depth article about the H3C as we learn more.
Note that Bambu Lab also plans to unveil its S1 3D scanner next month. Will Bambu Lab unveil the H3C and S1 on the same day?
