TV or film? A live action Cyberpunk 2077 project is now in the works

Hot on the heels of Cyberpunk 2077’s 2.01 update, CD Projekt Red has announced that they have partnered with Anonymous Content to create a live action Cyberpunk 2077 project.

Currently, few details are know about this mysterious new live action Cyberpunk 2077 project. It could be a TV series, or it could be a full-length movie. Anonymous Content is best known for their work on TV shows like “Mr. Robot” and “True Detective”, and films like “The Revenant” and “Spotlight”.

This is not the first time that CD Projekt Red has turned Cyberpunk 2077 into a successful multi-media franchise. Alongside Netflix, CD Projekt Red helped to create Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners, which launched with stellar reviews in 2022.

In recent weeks, CD Projekt Red has also seen a lot of success with the release of Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty expansion. So far, the expansion has sold over 3 million copies, with most of those copies selling on PC.

CD PROJEKT RED, the video game development studio known for its critically acclaimed The Witcher series of games and the best-selling Cyberpunk 2077, is pleased to announce it has begun a collaboration with global media company Anonymous Content to develop a live-action project set in the world of its best-selling video game, Cyberpunk 2077.

This new project from CD Projekt Red and Anonymous Content is in its early stages. The group are currently looking for a screenwriter who can create a new story within the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. As such, Cyberpunk fans should not expect to see this to see this live-action show or movie anytime soon.

More information about this new Cyberpunk TV series or movie will be made available as the project progresses.
