Fanatec unveils its “ultimate racing machine” the ClubSport GT Cockpit
Fanatec aims for racing excellence with their ClubSport GT Sim Racing Cockpit
Fanatec has officially revealed its first sim racing cockpit, the ClubSport GT, which aims to deliver higher levels of adjustability than its competition at an “unbeatable price.”
The ClubSport GT has been created for both seasoned racers and newcomers alike, promising high levels of adjustability and high levels of usability and comfort. The cockpit is compatible with most racing seats and can be quickly transitioned from an upright road-car racing position to a semi-reclined Formula-style position with ease. One critical aspect of the ClubSport GT is its tool-free adjustment and easy-to-build nature. This allows users to easily customise their cockpit and spend less time building/rebuilding and more time racing.
In the video below, you can hear what Marc Puc, a sim racing champion and co-designer of Fanatec ClubSport GT Cockpit, has to say about this new racing machine.
Wait, isn’t this kit from the Corsair Racing Division?
If you have followed OC3D’s racing sim coverage for a while, you will know that Corsair has acquired Fanatec. Additionally, you will know that the Corsair Racing Division was showing off new racing sim cockpits at Gamescom 2024.
Fanatec is now a subsidiary of Corsair, and it looks like the Corsair Racing Division has been rolled into Fanatec. That’s why Corsair’s racing sim cockpits now feature Fanatec branding. Fanatec is now Corsair’s core racing brand, and Corsair has expanded the company to cover more areas of the sim racing market than ever before. Thanks to Corsair, the Fanatec brand is now stronger than ever.
At Gamescom, we saw that these new racing cockpits offer incredible levels of monitor/TV support. Single screens up to 65 inches in size are supported, and triple-screen setups with three 55-inch screens are also supported. Triple-screen setups can support screen sizes of 27-55 inches, making this sim racing setup incredibly versatile.
Fanatec has designed their ClubSport GT Cockpit with unparalleled adjustability
Note that Fanatec’s racing cockpits have been built using 50mm steel tubing. This makes these racing cockpits incredibly rigid and remarkably adjustable. These sims can be adjusted for users between 5’0″ (1.55m) to 6’6″ (1.98m) in height. Optional accessories include trays for PCs, consoles, mounts for direct-drive wheels, keyboards, shifters, inverted pedals, streaming accessories and more.
Fanatec’s new ClubSport GT cockpits and accessories are now available to preorder through the Fanatec website. Note that this new racing cockpit is designed with Fanatec/Corsair equipment in mind and is engineered to be compatible with most 3rd party racing peripherals.
