Regions like the US, Japan, Chile, Brazil, and Colombia will be unaffected by this price increase, but the UK, Europe, Canada, and Australia will see Xbox Series X prices rise to the following levels. Note that Xbox Series S pricing will not be increased.

UK – £479.99 (up 6.6%)
EU – €549.99 (up 10%)
AU – $799.99 (up 6.6%)
CA – $649.99 (up 8.3%)

Xbox Game Pass Price rises, PC Game Pass pricing remains consistent

Microsoft are increasing the price of their Xbox Series X and Game Pass Subscription services

While it is a shame to see the cost of Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and Game Pass services rise, it is worth noting that Microsoft are increasing their pricing of their Xbox Series X almost a year after Sony raised the pricing of their PlayStation 5 console, and that Microsoft have managed to maintain the low pricing of their Xbox Series S system. With most regions of the globe suffering through high levels of inflation, price increases for many products are inevitable.

In October 2022, Microsoft’s Phil Spencer said this following the PlayStation 5’s price increase. “We’ve held price on our console, we’ve held price on games and our subscription. I don’t think we’ll be able to do that forever.” Xbox managed to hold our for an additional eight months.
