Black Friday Deals

It’s Black Friday. That time of the year again when all the online retailers bang out some of the best discounts you can find. One company that isn’t holding back on cutting prices is MSI. We’ve reviewed a ton of their products over the years and find them to be generally excellent. Naturally with so many products available we wanted to highlight a few of them that we think are the most interesting. Should you be itching for a new monitor, case, cooling or graphics card, perhaps something might tickle your fancy. Also if we’ve reviewed them we’ll link to that too. Obviously we’re barely scratching the surface, so if you had your eye on something, check around.

Are you sitting comfortably? Then we’ll begin.

Firstly we have to mention an offer MSI currently have running on their RTX 4080 cards. Usually a company might bundle a game, often that game isn’t what you want. MSI have gone the extra mile by giving you a £60 Steam voucher, so you can buy whatever you like. With the Steam sale about to appear, you could easily get three or four excellent titles. Instead of one you might already own or not want. Fantastic. This offer runs until the 10th of December.

MEG Prospect 700R

MSI Prospect 700R

The Prospect 700R is a fully modular case under the high-end MSI MEG banner. Complete with 4 140mm ARGB fans and ten available fan spaces, it’s a stunning case. What can’t escape your notice, and might be enough to tempt you, is the 4.3″ touchscreen that doesn’t just control your system, but can be used to display a host of things. It’s extremely flash. Designed in conjunction with EK, and able to support 2 360mm radiators, it’s all the case you could ever need. Normally priced at £349.99, until the end of November it’s available at Scan for just £269.99.

Monitors

There are plenty of monitors in the MSI range, so we’re picking four that we think suit all budgets. In order there are :

MAG 274UPF. A 4K @ 144Hz HDR400 IPS screen that supports both G-SYNC and FreeSync. Normally priced at £549 you can currently get it for £100 less until the end of the month.

Sticking at 27″, the G27CQ4 is a very affordable curved monitor. 1440P @ 170Hz are great specs and £30 off the already competitive £219 price tag makes it a great upgrade option.

If you want your displays a little larger then the G321CU ticks a lot of boxes. 31.5″ 4K @ 144Hz is enough to test the most powerful systems, and £60 off taking it down to £499 (Currys only) is tough to turn down.

Should you recently have won the lottery, got a Christmas bonus, or just want the best, the MSI MEG 342C QD OLED is a display for the ages. We’ve reviewed it and loved every inch of it. All the gorgeous image quality you’d expect from an OLED panel, in an ultrawide 3440 x 1440 @ 175 Hz format. With the Black Friday discount taking it to £999, you owe it to your eyes to bathe them in high IQ luxury.

CPU Cooling

Whenever you’re cooling your CPU you can go for the affordable option, or really splash out on something flash. MSI have you covered in both departments.

On the left is the MAG Coreliquid E240. Already affordable at £100, the Black Friday reduction down to £79.99 makes it a affordable way to brighten up your rig whilst keeping it cool. It’s available in white for the boss, and black for everyone else.

The model on the right, the Coreliquid S280 is, as you’d expect from a MSI MEG product, a whole step up. Two 140mm fans, a 2.4″ IPS display and Asetek 7th Gen pump tick all the boxes. The £220 price point is on the high side, but with the Black Friday offer bringing it to £159.98 it’s very attractive indeed.

SSD

Need more SSD storage? MSI’s ultra-fast PCIe 4.0 SPATIUM M480 PRO 4TB SSD is now available for under £260. Not bad for 4TB of storage.

Graphics Cards

There are many graphics cards in the MSI Black Friday sale, but we think that you’ll get the best bang for buck out of the mid-range Nvidia cards. The RTX 4070 Ventus 3X and RTX 4060 Ti Ventus 3X are both fast, quiet and cool. Now bundled with the GM41 mouse – 4070 at Ebuyer, 4060 at Scan – there’s never been a better time to upgrade your gaming experience. Of course you might just want money off, in which case the similarly capable Gaming X version of the RTX 4060 Ti has got £50 off at Amazon.

  • GeForce RTX 4060 GAMING X 8G – £299.99 – Ebuyer UKScan UK
  • GeForce RTX 4060 Ti GAMING X 8G – £399.98 – Scan UK

Motherboard

We know that refreshing your whole system can be daunting, but Black Friday is the perfect time to get a little extra for your money. There are lots of MSI Motherboards in the sale, but our favourite in terms of extracting big value is the MPG Z790 Carbon WiFi. You can see what we thought in our review by clicking those words. It’s all the motherboard you actually need, with PCI Express 5.0 everywhere and even has DDR5. With £30 off, it’s as good a time as any to refresh your Intel rig.

Power Supply

Lastly high end power supplies are the type of thing you don’t appreciate until you have one. We’re all guilty of speccing a new build and deciding to cut corners on the power supply. Having a fantastic one not only gives smooth power delivery, but is less likely to spike your hardware into oblivion. Additionally they last multiple builds, especially if you get a cutting edge one such as the MSI MEG Ai1300P. Supporting PCIe5 out of the box, as well as a ton of extra features, it should last you long into the future. With a big £65 discount too, now only £269.99, you owe it to the rest of your system to give it the efficient power delivery it craves.
