Sapphire teases “next-generation” hardware with 25th anniversary message

Sapphire Celebrates 25 years of technological innovation, and the best is yet to come

It’s official: Sapphire is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and it has been quite a journey to get here. Today, Sapphire is one of AMD/ATI’s most beloved board partners, with their ATOMIC, TOXIC, and NITRO+ being iconic parts of any Radeon historic and modern GPU lineup.

Over the past few years, Sapphire has grown far beyond graphics cards. The company’s modern hardware portfolio spans PC desktop GPUs, motherboards, advanced mini PCs, professional graphics solutions, and specialised hardware solutions for AI robotics, automotive, and machine learning applications.

At OC3D, we know Sapphire for its Radeon graphics cards and (more recently), its AM5 motherboards. This week, we built a full PC using Sapphire’s newest Phantom Link hardware, and the results were stunning.

SAPPHIRE Technology, a global leader in high-performance computing hardware and PC components, today announced the celebration of its 25th anniversary. Since its founding in 2001, SAPPHIRE has evolved from a specialist graphics card manufacturer into a global technology provider. Today, the company’s portfolio spans PC hardware, including desktop GPUs and motherboards complete Mini PC systems, professional AMD Radeon graphics, and specialised embedded platform solutions for AI, robotics, automotive, and machine learning.

Originally established as the home of ATI reference card production, SAPPHIRE has spent a quarter-century advancing thermal engineering, system design, and beautiful, meticulously crafted product design, building products from high-quality components that deliver on performance, design, and reliability. Over 25 years, iconic product families including ATOMIC, TOXIC, NITRO+, PURE and PULSE & EDGE+ have become benchmarks for performance, acoustics, aesthetics, and long-term reliability.

Next-gen products incoming

Sapphire isn’t resting on its laurels as it approaches its 25th anniversary. The company is already looking ahead towards “next-generation graphics, motherboards, embedded systems, and edge AI”. Sapphire remains a strong AMD partner, and fans can rest assured they will be ready when the next generation of hardware arrives.

Sadly, Sapphire has not detailed any of its next-generation plans. That said, it’s only a matter of time before AMD releases Zen 6 desktop CPUs and RDNA 5 GPUs.

Reaching 25 years is a milestone that belongs to our customers, our partners at AMD, and every member of the SAPPHIRE team,

We started with a simple ambition—to build the very best graphics cards in the world—and that spirit still drives us today. Looking ahead, next-generation graphics, motherboards, embedded systems, and edge AI will open new possibilities, and SAPPHIRE intends to lead where the industry goes next.
