The first trailer for Fallout is here, and so far the series look great

Amazon’s Fallout TV series has received its first trailer

Prime Video’s Fallout TV series is due to start streaming on April 12th 2024, and now fans of the franchise have received their first look at the series. For those who are unaware, the series is a post-apocalyptic drama that is based on the Fallout video game franchise from Bethesda. The TV series is set to become part of the official Fallout video game canon, making it a must watch for fans.

Fallout is based on the envisioned future of 1940s America, a world filled with Nuclear powered cars and crazy technologies. This nuclear-punk world inevitably resulted in a nuclear war. This war turned the world into a scarred wasteland filled with mutated monsters. Fallout takes place in a post-apocalyptic world that’s sprinkled with a dash of 40s-style atomic fantasy.

Now, Amazon have released their first teaser trailer for their Fallout series. The trailer showcases Vault Dwellers, the Brotherhood of Steel, mutated monsters, and a badass Ghoul.

Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind – and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them. From executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the creators of Westworld, starring Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins and more. Arriving April 12 on Prime Video.

A first look at the TV debut of Fallout

Thanks to Vanity Fair, Fallout fans recently got a glimpse of the series through a series of screenshots. These shots showcase the Brotherhood of Steel, suits of power armour, Ella Purnell’s Lucy (a vault dweller), and Walton Goggins as “The Ghoul”.

It is probable that episode 1, “The End”, will cover the start of the Fallout universe’s Great War. This war is what turned the world into an irradiated wasteland. The series prominently features Vault 33. This is one of the large nuclear bunker complexes that protected citizens from the immediate aftermath of the universe’s nuclear Armageddon.

Amazon’s Fallout TV series will be based in a post-apocalyptic version of Los Angeles. Currently, it is unknown how many episodes the series will have. Leading the creation of the TV series are Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. This duo formerly worked on the hit TV series Westworld.

Above we can see an image of Ella Purnell’s Lucy entering “Philly,” a town of survivors who cobbled their village from scraps after the war.

Video Game Adaptations are currently very popular

Video game adaptations are proving to be incredibly popular at the moment. HBO’s The Last of Us, and the Super Mario Movie have both proven to be huge successes. Netflix has also seen a lot of success with their The Witcher adaptation. That said, there have been some unsuccessful adaptations, like Netflix’s Resident Evil series.

Amazon’s Fallout TV series is now six months away. That means we can expect to see new marketing materials, and possibly a trailer soon.
