Corsair appears to be working on an SF750 power supply
Thanks to a combination of intelligent design and some engineering know-how, motherboards, graphics cards and even power supplies have become available in SFF, small form factor, forms, daring users to pack the power of high-end desktops into ever smaller enclosures.Â
With recent generations of hardware demanding larger amounts of power, the need for higher-wattage SFX power supplies has arisen, driven by growing core counts in the CPU market and bulkier die sizes in the GPU market (see Nvidia’s RTX 2080 Ti).Â
 Â
To meet these demands, Corsair appears to be working on a 750W SFX power supply called the SF750, which will ship with the same 80+ Platinum efficiency rating as the company’s existing 450W and 600W models while also offing the same 125mm x 63.5mm x 100mm (W x H x L) form factor.Â
 Â
Another notable change to Corsair’s design is the inclusion of two 8-pin EPS cables for CPU power, something which is quickly becoming commonly utilised on high-end overclocking motherboards. This will make the SF750W suitable for most high-end systems, despite its small form factor credentials.Â
Corsair’s SF750 power supply is expected to release this November, allowing small factor PCs to utilise more power hungry components without the need to invest in large ATX or extended ATX power supplies.Â
