Cougar reveals their Titanium rated PXF 1600W PSU

Big Power, Big Efficiency – Cougar reveals their PXF 1600W PSU

If there was one trend that we noticed at Computex 2024, it’s that everyone is now building high wattage power supplies with multiple 12V-2×6 power connectors. Cougar is no exception, revealing their new PXF 1600W PSU on the show floor.

As far as we know, the PXF 1600W is Cougar’s most powerful and power efficient PSU to date. The unit is 80+ Titanium rated, making it up to 94% efficient. The unit is also ATX 3.1 compliant, and PCIe 5.1 compliant.

Based on the image below, it looks like Cougar will be releasing their new PXF 1600W PSU in both black and white. The PSU will be cooled by a 140mm fan, and it is designed to run at temperatures of up to 50 degrees Celsius. Being 180mm long, this PSU should be supported by most PC cases. That said, it is longer than most standard ATX PSUs (which are 140mm long).

Sadly, we do not know the pricing or release date of Cougar’s new 1600W PSU. We hope to hear more about this new high wattage PSU soon. At Computex, we also saw Cougar’s new FV270 PC case.
