DeepCool showcases their new PX-S range of SFX PSUs at Gamescom 2024
Compact power! DeepCool reveals their PX-S range of SFX power supplies at Gamescom 2024
At Gamescom 2024, DeepCool has revealed a new range of SFX power supplies. At their Gamescom both, their 850W PX850S was on show. However, the DeepCool did confirm that PX-S SFX PSUs would be available with wattages of 650W, 750W, 850W, and 1000W.
These new SFX power supplies are both ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 rated, and utilise the improved 12V-2×6 power standard. All PX-S models Gold rated by both 80+ and Cybenetics. Note that this PSU features a teal 12V-2×6 connector, which should make it easier to users to know if their power cables are fully inserted. All models in DeepCool’s new PX-S range will ship with sleeved cables.
One oddity of DeepCool’s new SFX PSU range is that their PSUs are 120mm long. This is longer than the 100mm length of standard SFX power supplies. Technically speaking, this would make these PSUs SFX-L sized units, which means that not all SFX PC cases will support these PSUs. While this sounds like a bad thing, the benefit is that this design allows DeepCool to use a larger, quieter fan. This is good news for PC builders who have the space for a longer SFX-sized power supply.
At Gamescom 2024, DeepCool also showcased their new Assassin IV VC Vision CPU Cooler.
