DeepCool gives their Assassin IV a huge VC Vision upgrade at Gamescom

DeepCool’s best air cooler just got better – Meet the DeepCool Assassin IV VC Vision

At Gamescom 2024, DeepCool has given their flagship air cooler a major upgrade. No, this isn’t a new Assassin V model, this is an enhanced Assassin IV. Presenting the Assassin IV VC Vision. With the standard Assassin IV already being one of the best air coolers on the market (review here), it will be interesting to see how DeepCool’s new upgrades impact CPU thermals.

So what’s the VC Vision? Well, VC stands and Vapour Chamber, and Vision represents the cooler’s screen add-on. Thanks to the new vapour chamber at this heatsink’s base, DeepCool claims that their new Assassin IV model can handle CPUs with TDPs of up to 300W. That’s 20 watts higher than the original Assassin IV.

Alongside this cooler’s vapour chamber upgrade, DeepCool has added a “Vision” screen to their to air cooler. This allows users to display CPU statistics on their processor. These stats include CPU temperatures, CPU usage, CPU power, and CPU frequency.

Sadly, DeepCool were unable to tell us when their new Assassin IV CPU cooler will become available to purchase, or how much it will cost. Obviously, it will be more expensive than their existing Assassin IV models, though it remains to be seen how much more expensive it will be.
