Seasonic launches new 12V-2×6 cables for 600W GPUs

Seasonic has released an upgraded range of 12V-2×6 cables to replace their original 12VHPWR cables. These new cables meet the latest PSU standards, and come with some notable improvements. This includes a useful blue terminal that enables users to see if their cables are fully seated at a glance.

Seasonic’s new 12V-2×6 cables come in three options. First there is a 12V-2×6 to dual 8-pin option for the company’s ATX 2.0 PSUs. Then there is two native 12V-2×6 cables for newer ATX 3.0 (or newer) PSUs. These “native” cables feature 12V-2×6 connectors on each end.

All of these new 12V-2×6 cables from Seasonic can to deliver up to 600W of power and uses 16 AWG wires. Seasonic have also opted to use HCS (High-Current System) terminals with a 94V-0 plastic material for connectors. You can see these new cable options in the video below.

Note that 12V-2×6 cables are fully compatible with 12VHPWR graphics cards and power supplies. Seasonic states their new cables are rated for 50 mating cycles. That may sound low, but this rating is common for most PSU cables.
