Seasonic reveals their Prime SnowSilent series PSUs with 12-year warranty
Seasonic has released three new PSU models, all of which ship under the Prime SnowSilent brand and come with a white and chrome aesthetic and a focus on high levels of efficiency and minimal noise levels under load.Â
All of these new Prime SnowSilent series PSUs will ship with a 12-year warranty, promising users over a decade of functionality, stretching the lifespan of this product long past any other component in your system. If you look back 12 years we can see a time where Intel’s first Core 2 Duo hasn’t even launched yet, a lot can happen in 12 years.Â
These Prime SnowSilent PSUs will ship with power ratings of 550W, 650W and 750W; each unit comes with 80+ Gold, Platinum and Titanium grade efficiency levels respectively. Both the 550W and 650W SnowSilent PSUs are 14cm long, while the 750W model is 17cm long. The 750W model is the only PSU in the series to offer dual 4+4-pin EPS connectors.Â
Seasonic has designed these PSUs to offer minimal noise output, keeping the units fan in a passive mode until the PSU hits a certain load threshold. Beyond that, the fans on the Prime SnowSilent PSUs are designed to run quietly and last throughout the PSU’s 12-year warranty. At this time Seasonic has not revealed unit pricing.Â
