Alan Wake’s American Nightmare and Observer are now available for free on PC

For the next week, both Alan Wake’s American Nightmare and Observer are available for free on PC, giving gamers the opportunity to play some great psychological horror titles without paying a cent.

Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is an in-universe spin-off of Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake, which initially released on Xbox 360 in early 2012 and later launched on PC. The game makes use of the same combat mechanics as the original Alan Wake, though American Nightmare is a lot more battle-focused, bringing a lot more firepower to the experience.

Bloober Team’s Observer is a different take on the psychological horror genre, with players taking control of detective Daniel Lazarski, who must hack the brain implants of other humans for interrogation purposes. The game starts with players solving a murder, but things quickly become more complicated.

Both games are highly rated, and both titles are worth playing if you have the time to play both.  American Nightmare and Observer are available for free on the Epic Games Store until October 24th, after which Layers of Fear and Qube 2 will be available for free.
