Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition is coming to PC on September 30th
Alien: Rogue Incursion is getting a non-VR Evolved Edition
Servios has announced that Alien: Rogue Incursion is getting “re-envisioned” for non-VR platforms. This new version of the game is coming to PC and PlayStation 5 on September 30th and will be called Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition.
This new version of Rogue Encursion promises “even deadlier Xenomorphs and enhanced visuals.” Removing the trappings of VR will bring big changes to the game, resulting in the need for reworked controls, altered gameplay mechanics, and changes to the game’s difficulty. While the game will feature the same story as its VR version, its Evolved Edition should play very differently to its original VR-only release.
Experience the universe of the Alien films like never before: re-envisioned for all PC users. An all-new action-horror entry into the classic franchise, Alien: Rogue Incursion transforms you into Zula Hendricksâthe ex-Colonial Marine hellbent on exposing Weyland-Yutaniâs black-site experimentsâon an extremely dangerous mission to the uncharted planet Purdan. With her synth companion Davis 01 for guidance, Zula must infiltrate the infested Gemini Exoplanet Solutions research facility and survive the ever-present threat of the most cunning Xenomorphs ever encountered, with both skilled stealth and serious firepower at her disposal. And when the threat she discovers has extinction-level consequences, Zula suddenly finds herself with humanityâs fate on her shoulders.
PART ONE OF A TWO-PART STORY
Zula’s Fight Begins Here: Part One of this gripping two-part story thrusts you into the violent world of ALIEN, where you will uncover the secrets lurking within the GES facility on LV-354, the enigmatic planet Purdan. This installment stands alone as a complete story yet leaves you hanging on a thrilling cliffhanger, eager to dive deeper into Zula’s unfolding story in Part Two, where she will face new challenges and deadlier enemies.
Releasing a non-VR version of Rogue Incursion will allow the game to be enjoyed by more gamers. After all, VR remains a niche gaming platform. While VR can deliver unique gaming experiences, VR isn’t hugely popular. There’s a reason why Sony isn’t developing many first-party PlayStation VR2 games.
Honestly, it is a good thing that Rogue Invursion is getting a non-VR version. Soon, the game can be enjoyed by a new audience. Furthermore, Alien fans can enjoy the title without purchasing a VR headset. Let’s hope that the game’s move away from VR goes smoothly, and that there is enough interest for Survios to make their planned sequel.
