AMD releases FSR 3.1.3 and Radeon Anti-Lag 2 Plugins for Unreal Engine 5.5
AMD brings its latest tech to Unreal Engine 5.5 with new FSR and Anti-Lag 2 plugins
AMD has officially launched new FSR 3.1.3 and Radeon Anti-Lag 2 plugins for Unreal Engine 5.5, the latest version of Unreal Engine 5. These tools allow game developers to easily integrate AMD’s technologies into their Unreal Engine projects. This gives developers little reason to exclude AMD’s Super Resolution and latency reduction technologies.
While the headline feature of these new plugins is their Unreal Engine 5.5 support, they do make other changes over prior versions. The FSR plugin has been updated to FSR version 3.1.3. The Anti-Lag 2 Plugin has been updated to version 2.02.
Note that FSR 3.1 features AMD’s “Upgradable FSR API”, which enables easier upgrades to newer versions of FSR. In fact, AMD has an “FSR 4 Upgrade” feature planned for Radeon RDNA 4 graphics cards. This should allow FSR 3.1 games to be updated to FSR 4 using AMD’s drivers with compatible GPUs.

Currently, AMD has revealed no plans for an FSR 4 plugin for Unreal Engine 5. We expect to hear more about FSR 4 when AMD fully reveals their Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs. AMD is due to release their RDNA 4-based RX 9070, and RX 9070 XT in March.
