ARK: Survival Ascended is available in Early Access – Here’s what you need to run it

Here’s what you need to run Ark Survival Ascended on PC

Studio Wildcard have launched Ark: Survival Ascended on PC through Steam’s Early Access program. The game is a remake of Ark: Survival Evolved that is based on Unreal Engine 5. As you should expect, this remake features greatly enhanced visuals, more advanced physics, and all of the content of Ark: Survival Evolved.

Since this is an Unreal Engine 5 game that makes use of both Nanite and Lumen, Ark: Survival Ascended is a demanding PC release. The game’s PC system requirements list Nvidia’s GTX 1080 as the game’s minimum supported GPU. SSD storage is also listed as a minimum requirement for the game.

Studio Wildcard has confirmed that Survival Ascended will remain in early access until the end of 2024. At launch, the game features “The Island”, and further expansion worlds will be added to the game later and at no extra cost.
