Arkane Lyon reveals Marvel’s Blade at The Game Awards

Marvel’s Blade is in development with Arkane Lyon, the studio behind Deathloop and Dishonored

At The Game Awards, Bethesda and Arkane Lyon have revealed that they are now working on Marvel’s Blade. The game will be a single-player third person game set in Paris, with Marvel Games collaborating on the project.

Blade currently has no release timeframe. The game is in early development. The trailer showcases a highly stylised visuals, confirming that the game is not aiming for a realistic look. At this time, it is unknown what platforms Marvel’s Blade will be available on.

Arkane Lyon previously created both Dishonored 2 and Deathloop. The studio’s portfolio of games seems ideal for a studio that’s planning to make a game about Blade, the infamous Daywalker.

Blade (Eric Brooks) is a half-human, half-vampire hybrid. As such, he’s torn between the society of the living and the power of the undead. Blade possesses many of the strengths of vampires and lacks many their weaknesses. Using his powers, Blade hunts the Vampires who stalk the world of the living.

Blade is currently in early development. As such, we should not expect Marvel’s Blade to release anytime soon. With the game coming from Arkane Lyon, we expect the game to launch on PC and Xbox. Bethesda own Arkane Lyon. Microsoft/Xbox own Bethesda. That said, Marvel could insist that the game comes to PlayStation 5. That said, Marvel’s Wolverine’s set to be a PlayStation exclusive.
