Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Discovery Tour mode is now available as a free update

Ubisoft has officially released Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s free Discovery Tour update, offering players an educational experience within the game’s recreation of Ancient Greece. This update will be available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game, and is also available as a standalone purchase on Uplay.

Discovery Tour mode is currently available within Assassin’s Creed Origins, which helps to shed light on Ancient Egypt, offering curated in-game tours where historians help to add an educational layer to the game. In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, 30 guided tours will be available, which are led by characters such as Leonidas and Herodotus, both of which already appear within the game.

Just like in Origins, Discovery Mode will allow Assassin’s Creed players to explore the entire game map without combat or questing. This allows players to relax and explore their game’s world with no worries. This new mode will offer players guided tours, quizzes and other educational add-ons, which can be seen in the trailer below.

At the time of writing, Assassin’s Creed odyssey’s Discovery Tour Mode costs £4.25 on UPlay. However, the mode currently has a 75% discount, making the mode’s full price £16.99. Ubisoft has not listed an end date for its 75% discount.

Experience the world of Classical Greece like never before in Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece by Ubisoft. In this educational mode, explore the world as a living museum, travel to over 29 regions, and embark on 30 guided tours led by charismatic characters such as Leonidas, Herodotus, and more! Now available for FREE to all Assassin’s Creed Odyssey owners and purchasable as a digital standalone version on Uplay PC.
