Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ newest trailer focuses on PC
Here’s a look at Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ PC and “New-Gen” features
Ubisoft has released their new “PC and New-Gen Features trailer” for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, giving gamers an idea of what to expect when the game launches on March 20th.
To create Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Ubisoft partnered with Intel. This means the game will be optimised for the company’s Core Ultra CPUs and ship with XeSS 2 support on day 1. XeSS 2 is Intel’s latest AI upscaler and Frame Generation solution. Furthermore, Ubisoft has promised support for “all upscaling and frame generation technologies.” This means Assassin’s Creed Shadows will also support AMD FSR and Nvidia DLSS on day 1. Specifically, the game will support DLSS 3.7 and FSR 3.7.
In the trailer below, Ubisoft showcases “new-gen” features like “virtualised geometry”, “ray-traced global illumination and reflections,” “Dynamic seasons,” and “environmental destruction.”
On PC, Ubisoft has confirmed that their game will feature a built-in benchmarking tool, support ultra-wide monitors, and support uncapped framerates. The game’s full PC system requirements are available here.
On PC, Shadows will be available on day 1 through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft Connect.
